Movescount shut down. Here is where the dives go.
Suunto closed Movescount and pushed everyone to the Suunto app, which does not carry the old dive logbook across in full and does not talk to the older computers at all. If you exported your data before the shutdown you have a file sitting in a downloads folder. If you did not, the copy on the computer's own memory is what you have left.
Move your dives, step by step
Find the export Suunto offered when Movescount closed, usually a zip of per-activity files in your downloads folder.
If you never took that export, read the dives off the computer itself instead: connect it to a desktop and download with Subsurface, then export UDDF.
Move the exported file to your phone: AirDrop, iCloud Drive or email all work, anything that puts it in the iOS Files app.
In SeaLog, tap the plus button, then Import dives, then the matching format.
Pick the file. Every dive arrives with its depth profile, and anything already in your logbook is skipped rather than duplicated.
Movescount's export was activity-shaped rather than dive-shaped, so the richest copy of an old dive is usually still the one in the computer's memory. Download the device before you wipe it.
What survives the move

- The depth profile, when the source file carries samples
- Water temperature and gas, where recorded

- Movescount's social layer: comments, likes and followers
- Anything that only ever existed on the Movescount website
Whatever comes in can go back out: SeaLog exports the whole logbook to UDDF, CSV or PDF at any time. We would rather you could leave than have to trust us.
Read your computer directly instead
If the software is the broken part, going straight to the hardware is often faster.

Is Movescount gone for good?
Yes. The service was retired and the website no longer serves your logbook. Anything you did not export lives on in your dive computer's memory and in whatever desktop software you once synced with.
Will the Suunto app import my Movescount dives?
Only partially, and only for the models it supports. It is worth checking, but for older computers the reliable path is a desktop download to UDDF and an import into SeaLog, which keeps the profile intact.
