Delete your SeaLog account
This page is for users of SeaLog by Roadtrip Technologies Limited. From here you can request the deletion of your account and all the data associated with it.
How to request deletion
- Tap the button below to open a support conversation (it is the same support chat you find in the app under You → Help & support).
- Tell us the email address you use to sign in to SeaLog (your Apple or Google account email), so we can find the right account.
- We confirm the request with you, then delete the account. You will receive a confirmation message when it is done.
Prefer email? Send the same request to support@sealog.customerly.io from the address linked to your account.
What gets deleted
Within 30 days of a confirmed request, we permanently delete:
- Your account and profile (username, display name, bio, avatar, social links).
- Your entire synced logbook: dives, depth profiles, dive sites you created, tanks and gas data, notes, ratings, costs, gear, buddy links and likes.
- Marine life sightings and your species life list.
- Certifications and insurance records, including card photos.
- Dive photos stored in your account’s cloud storage.
- Push notification tokens and synced preferences.
Residual copies in encrypted backups expire automatically within 90 days. The local copy of your logbook on your own device is yours: you can remove it by deleting the app, and we recommend exporting your logbook (UDDF, CSV or PDF, from the app) before requesting deletion, because deletion is irreversible.
What is retained, and for how long
- Support conversations (including the deletion request itself) are kept as a record of the request being honored.
- Purchase and transaction records required for tax, accounting and fraud prevention are kept for the period mandated by law. Subscriptions themselves are managed by Apple: deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, cancel it in your App Store settings.
- Anonymous analytics (aggregate usage events not linked to your identity) are retained; they cannot be traced back to you.
