Migration guide
LogTRAK will not run. Your Scubapro dives still can.
LogTRAK is the Scubapro and Uwatec desktop software, and on current macOS it is the single most common thing divers tell us is broken: it will not open, will not sign, or will not see the infrared adapter any more. The dives are on the computer's memory and in LogTRAK's own database, both of which are still readable.
Move your dives, step by step
If LogTRAK still opens on any machine you have, export your logbook to UDDF from it.
If it does not open at all, download the computer directly instead. Subsurface reads the Scubapro and Uwatec range over the original interface, and exports UDDF.
Move the exported file to your phone: AirDrop, iCloud Drive or email all work, anything that puts it in the iOS Files app.
In SeaLog, tap the plus button, then Import dives, then the matching format.
Pick the file. Every dive arrives with its depth profile, and anything already in your logbook is skipped rather than duplicated.
The older Uwatec units use an infrared adapter rather than a cable, and those adapters need their own driver on macOS. That driver, not LogTRAK itself, is usually what actually broke.
What survives the move
✅ Comes across
- Every dive with its profile
- Water temperature and gas
- Site names as recorded
⚠️ Does not
- LogTRAK's own equipment database entries
Whatever comes in can go back out: SeaLog exports the whole logbook to UDDF, CSV or PDF at any time. We would rather you could leave than have to trust us.
Read your computer directly instead
If the software is the broken part, going straight to the hardware is often faster.
Questions
Is there a LogTRAK alternative for macOS?
For reading the computer, Subsurface. For keeping the logbook afterwards, SeaLog on your phone. Between them they cover what LogTRAK used to do, and neither depends on a driver that stopped being signed.
