How to import dives from a Scubapro dive computer

Worth knowing

• The whole brand splits in two, and this is the mapping that matters. LogTRAK 2.0 (phone and web, actively updated) serves the Bluetooth models: G2, G2 Console, G2 HUD, G2 TEK, G3, Luna 2.0, Luna 2.0 AI, Aladin A1, A2, H Matrix and Sport Matrix. The legacy desktop LogTRAK 1.8.7 serves everything else. Meridian, Mantis, Mantis 2, Chromis and Aladin Square over a USB cradle, plus the older Galileo/Aladin units over infrared. And it also handles the Bluetooth models if you prefer a computer.
• The cradle models have no mobile path at all. The Meridian, Chromis, Mantis, Mantis 2 and Aladin Square manuals each state that communication with a PC or Mac is possible only through the cradle, so a diver with one of these must install the desktop app; there is no phone workaround.
• The Aladin Square is the odd one out among the cradle models. SCUBAPRO lists it with the CP210x cradle driver, but its manual describes a cradle called the "Shark" and tells you to select the Square as a USB device rather than as a serial port.
• Desktop LogTRAK over Bluetooth needs a specific dongle on some platforms. On a Mac, SCUBAPRO's guide says the built-in Bluetooth is not used and a Bluegiga BLED112 USB adapter is required; Windows 7 and older need the same dongle. Only Windows 8 and newer use the machine's own Bluetooth 4.0 radio.
• The downloads page advertises "LogTRAK, Version 1.8.5.0, 2022-06-30", but the packages you actually get are 1.8.7 dated December 2022. The bundled changelog shows the last feature work was G2 TEK support (June 2022) and Excel export of profile and logbook (November 2020).
• The store listings undersell compatibility. Both the App Store and Google Play describe LogTRAK 2.0 as supporting only the HUD, G2, G2C, Aladin Sport, Aladin H, A1 and A2. But the official G3, Luna 2.0 and Luna 2.0 AI manuals all document downloading through LogTRAK 2.0, and the G3 product page says its firmware is user-updated from the app. Do not tell a G3 or Luna 2.0 owner the app will not work.
• The Xtender / XTender 5 is effectively orphaned. Its manual is the only file SCUBAPRO still hosts for it, and that manual says downloads require "PC LogBook" software plus a dedicated dealer-sold interface. Neither of which appears anywhere on the downloads page. In practice the only route off an Xtender today is a third-party, libdivecomputer-based application with a compatible serial interface.
• The Z1 is not a LogTRAK computer even though SCUBAPRO sells it. Responding to a user on Google Play, SCUBAPRO stated the Z1 uses a different communication protocol and is not compatible with the LogTRAK app; the downloads page links it to a separate "Z Dive Log" web manual instead. Relevant only as a warning, since the Z1 is not in our catalogue.
• The web version at logtrak.scubapro.com is account-walled: it opens on a sign-in screen with a create-account link, and it is a companion to the phone app's cloud logbook rather than a way to pull dives off hardware in the browser.
• SmartTRAK (Windows only, 32-bit installer dated 2018, infrared) and DataTRAK (a single Setup.exe from December 2004 whose manual targets Windows 3.1x/95/NT) are both legacy. Neither covers any model in our Scubapro catalogue, but SmartTRAK is the bridge for old Uwatec logs: it imports DataTrak, TravelTrak CE and TravelTrak Palm logbooks and exports DAN DL7 (level 1 or 3), Excel and plain text.
• Verification caveat worth recording: scubapro.com and scubapro.johnsonoutdoors.com sit behind Imperva, which answers plain HTTP clients with a challenge page that still returns 200.
