SDE .sde
Suunto SDE archives
SDE is the archive Suunto Dive Manager writes when you export a logbook. It is a container rather than a plain log file, and it is the thing most DM5 refugees find in their downloads folder.
Turn a SDE file into something you can import
Open the .sde file in Subsurface, which is free, open source and reads it.
Use File and Export, and choose UDDF.
Move the UDDF to your phone and import it in SeaLog under the plus button, Import dives, UDDF file.
Where SDE files come from
- Suunto Dive Manager
- Suunto DM5
Leaving one of these behind? There is a step-by-step guide for most of them: Suunto DM5, Movescount, the Suunto app, Shearwater Cloud, Garmin Connect, Subsurface.
Questions
Can I import an SDE straight into SeaLog?
Not today. Open the SDE in DM5 or in Subsurface, which can read it, and export UDDF from there. That file imports cleanly and keeps the profile.
Other formats
One logbook, every format
SeaLog imports what you have and exports what you want, without a subscription standing in the way.
