How to import dives from a Sherwood dive computer

• Sherwood ships three different pieces of software across three hardware generations, and picking the wrong one is the single most common failure. Cable models use Sherwood's own Windows Computer Interface (or DiverLog); Beacon, Sage and Wisdom 4 use DiverLog+ over Bluetooth; the Wisdom 5 uses DiveSync, a completely unrelated app.
• There is no Sherwood-branded macOS software and never has been. Sherwood's own downloads page tells Mac owners, and all Amphos 2.0 / Amphos Air 2.0 owners regardless of platform, to go to DiverLog at ediverlog.com instead.
• The Mac side is effectively dead. DiverLog for Mac was only ever distributed through the Mac App Store, and that listing (id540107482) now returns 404. The link is still live on ediverlog.com's own homepage but leads nowhere, so cable-generation Sherwood owners on macOS have no official route left.
• The older DiverLog and DiverLog Lite mobile apps are also delisted on both the App Store and Google Play. Only DiverLog+ survives, now published by Head Watersports S.p.A. rather than Aqua Lung, last updated October 2025.
• DiverLog+'s official supported-model list names only three Sherwood computers: Beacon, Sage and Wisdom 4.0. Anything else Sherwood-branded will not connect to it over Bluetooth.
• The Wisdom 5 manual contradicts itself. One passage carried over from the Wisdom 4 manual references the DiverLog+ program, but the actual Bluetooth section states the Wisdom 5 must be talked to using DiveSync. DiveSync is correct; the Wisdom 5 is absent from DiverLog+'s model list.
• DiveSync's own FAQ page still lists only Cressi, OceanPro and XS Scuba models, but its App Store description does name Sherwood as a supported brand. Sherwood support is newer than that FAQ page, so treat the FAQ as stale rather than authoritative.
• The Logic is ambiguous. Its Sherwood product page advertises wireless sync and app download, but neither the official Logic manual (v1.5) nor the Logic quick reference guide mentions Bluetooth or names any app. Assume you may have to read the log off the screen until Sherwood documents it.
• The USB cable generation is FTDI, not CP210x or Prolific. Sherwood's own 64bitDriversWindows10.exe is byte-for-byte identical to DiverLog's x64_USBDriver.exe (matching MD5), confirming they are the same FTDI package under two names.
• Sherwood's Windows drivers are labelled for Windows 10 and Windows XP and have not been refreshed. If they fail on a current Windows build, the FTDI CDM package hosted alongside them on ediverlog.com is the newer signed alternative.
• Sherwood's current catalogue is down to just two computers, the Wisdom 5 and the Logic. Everything else our catalogue carries (Amphos, Amphos Air, Insight, Profile, Sage, Vision, Wisdom, Wisdom 4, Amphos 2.0, Amphos Air 2.0, Beacon) is discontinued, though the manuals are still hosted.
• Sherwood no longer publishes Wisdom 2, Wisdom 3 or Insight 2 manuals on its downloads page even though those models are still in circulation and DiverLog still lists Wisdom 3 as supported.
• The download cable is proprietary, model-specific and sold separately. It has not shipped in the box with these computers, and there is no generic substitute.
• Several manual URLs on Sherwood's downloads page are double-URL-encoded (%2520 instead of %20). They resolve correctly as-is, but stripping the encoding breaks them.
• DiverLog's export interchange format is DL7. There is no direct UDDF export documented on the vendor's pages.
