Ratio downloads, drivers and manuals
The hardware brand is alive and selling (the iX3M 2 line is current), but its desktop logbook software is effectively orphaned: Ratio's own FAQ declares DiveLogger discontinued, its replacement Ratio ToolBox cannot read the dive log at all, and Ratio's official instructions now hand the actual dive download off to the third-party Subsurface project.

Worth knowing
- Ratio's own FAQ says plainly that DiveLogger is discontinued and ToolBox replaces it. The catch nobody states up front: ToolBox does not read the logbook. Its only functions are firmware update, clock sync, factory reset and model upgrade codes.
- Because of that, Ratio's official route for getting dives off the computer is now the third-party Subsurface desktop app. Their own ToolBox pages carry a section walking through the Subsurface import (vendor Ratio, pick model, pick highest COM port).
- DiveLogger 4 is still downloadable and does read dives, but Ratio's own routing page states it works for iDive Sport and iX3M only, NOT for iDive COLOR. iDive COLOR owners have no working Ratio-branded logbook app and must use ToolBox plus Subsurface.
- Hard version wall between generations: DiveLogger 3 only speaks to units on OS 3.x, DiveLogger 4 requires OS 4.x, and the two do not cross-connect. Ratio publishes a dedicated OS 3 to OS 4 migration page for iX3M GPS owners stuck on the old firmware.
- The support site is hand-maintained static HTML dated 2019 and split into /support3/, /support4/ and /support5/ folders by device generation, reached through a chain of chooser pages that ask which buttons your unit has and what is printed on its glass. It is very easy to land on the wrong generation's download.
- There is no official Ratio mobile app. The iX3M 2 has BLE and Ratio announced a companion app for late 2024, but nothing has shipped. The App Store listing named Ratio Divelogger is published by an independent developer (Jiri Prajz), not by Ratio Computers.
- The macOS install path is a Terminal shell script run with sudo that copies the app in and removes the Gatekeeper quarantine flag. There is no signed, notarized installer, and the ToolBox Mac download is a zip containing a dmg.
- Ratio's macOS documentation is badly stale: it still says Mac OS X El Capitan or above and instructs users to enable the Anywhere option in System Preferences Security and Privacy via sudo spctl --master-disable, which no longer matches current macOS.
- Older Dive System branded iDive units use DiveLogger 2, which is not hosted on Ratio's own domain at all but on divesystem.it.
- Every support page and PDF also serves correctly over HTTPS even though Ratio's own internal links all point at plain http://. Use the HTTPS forms.
One logbook for all of it
