- Oceans is a Stockholm company that started as a social dive logbook and later crowdfunded the S1, a Bluetooth computer with ultrasonic buddy messaging.
- The app and the hardware are on very different trajectories: the logbook app was updated as recently as October 2025, while the S1 page still reads like its launch and the homepage hero image now references an S2 that has no page of its own.
- There is no downloads area, no firmware archive and no driver of any kind on the Oceans site. Everything happens over Bluetooth from the phone.
- Support is a Google Form and an email address, so treat response times as uncertain and keep an export path.
- Because the Oceans app is cloud-backed, S1 owners should keep a second copy of their dives. Subsurface and any other libdivecomputer-based app can pull them straight off the device.
